Theresa Chikoti Foot
Theresa is a Zambian national. Born in Luwingu, she trained and qualified as a general nurse, midwife and a theatre nurse, with the Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM). Her training was in Mufulira and at the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka. By 1990 she had risen to a senior level in ZCCM’x healthcare system.
In 1993 Theresa qualified for registration as a General Nurse with the UK Nursing Council, and she and Simon moved to UK in 1995. She has practiced there as a general nurse ever since, and also worked as a nurse periodically in Nigeria between 2001 and 2004.
Theresa and Simon are now implementing their vision to return to Zambia and feed back to the Country the benefits of their combined knowledge and experience.
Dr. Simon Foot is a British National but with residency status in Zambia. He has a Ph.D. in Political Economics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. He has worked for 28 years in International Development, mostly on contracts with the UK Aid (Department for International Development) and in some 10 different countries, including 8 years in Zambia between 1987 and today. He has extensive experience of working on Programme Management to a senior level, with a variety of donor agencies, and with Regional and National Governments.
